When woodcarver Geppetto (Oscar winner Roberto Benigni) makes a doll, something magical happens. The wooden doll starts to talk and can walk, laugh and eat. Geppetto calls him Pinocchio and raises him as his own son. But the mischievous Pinocchio finds it difficult to be good and tumbles from one adventure to the next. He ends up in the belly of a gigantic shark, discovers Toyland and has a duo of bandits after him. Despite all the excitement, Pinocchio only wants one thing: to become a real boy. Will he manage to stay out of trouble and make his dream come true?
