16-year-old Darren (Chris Massoglia) leads the normal suburban life of an American teenager. Only his friend Steve (Josh Hutcherson) leads him to one or the other stupidity. Steve has been dreaming of being a vampire for a long time and when a very special circus show takes place in town, he convinces Darren to pay him a visit. He, too, is quickly drawn to the bizarre world of freaks. His aroused curiosity ultimately also leads to the fact that, after a short death, he is reborn as a vampire. But that"s not all: soon he finds himself in a battle of the vampires.
