Synopsis
After losing the child she was expecting, the fragile Kate sees the painful memories of a past resurface that she would prefer to forget. Haunted by recurring nightmares, and determined to find a balanced married life, she makes the choice, with her companion John, to adopt a child. At the nearby orphanage, Kate and John feel strangely drawn to a little girl, Esther. But Kate does not take long to discover the hidden side of the "sweet" child. Around her, no one noticed anything, and no one seemed to share her doubts and worries ...
