Liisa Kingsleigh (Wasikowska) has spent three years as a sea captain in the footsteps of her father, sailing the seas of the world. When he returns to London, he finds a magic mirror and travels back to the imaginary realm of the Underworld, where his old friends White Rabbit (Sheen), Absolem (Rickman), Irvik (Fry), and the Hat Maker (Depp), who is not himself, are waiting for him. The hat maker has lost a lot, so Mirana (Hathaway) sends Lisa to borrow the Chronosphere, a metallic ball kept in the chamber of the Great Clock that gives strength all the time. Going back in time, he encounters friends - and enemies - at different stages of their lives and embarks on a dangerous race against time to save the Hat Maker before it’s too late.
