201 years after humans can travel faster than light and 113 years after the launch of the Enterprise NX-01, Captain James T. Kirk and his crew board the Constitution-class starship U.S.S. Enterprise.
Over the next three years, the crew of the Enterprise will encounter shapeshifters, tricksters, murderers and lunatics. Beings so powerful they can control the minds of entire societies, or those too weak to control their own mental faculties.
Crew members are loved, threatened, influenced, killed, courted, brought back from death and catapulted backwards through time. They are forced to fight for their lives and those of their families. Through these adventures, three unlikely friends form a bond: the daring and charismatic Captain, the short-tempered Doctor, and the emotionless Vulcan.
